Default What about 4.6 V-8 ?

I have an 05 4.6 V-8 and used to get reasonable gas mileage. Now at 100K I have installed new plugs and complete service but mileage seems to have gone down about 2-3 miles per gallon in both city and hwy.
Does anyone have experience with a programmer that you can plug in and adjust engine performance.
Anything else that would help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Default ANYBODY with a '16 3.5EB get EPA 24 highway?

Is there anybody out there that has ever gotten 24 mpg highway with their 2016 with the 3.5 EB? Not lie-o-meter mpg, but actual as-measured after fill-up mpg? I like my EB but am a little surprised that under the best of conditions (flat terrain, little to no wind, 55-65 mph average for 100+ miles, light right foot, etc) I can't get better than 22 mpg....

As I understand it the Estimates are based on a weighted average of various options.

The average truck with 3.5EB 4x2 is likely a XLT Premium Crew Cab 5.5 with 3.31 and 18" Pmetric Tires. If you have more options, bigger wheels, LT tires or 3.55/3.73 gears you will be less likely to meet the estimates

Not a 3.5 EB but:
2015 XL Scab 6.5 4x4 2.7EB 101A Sport FX4
Tow Pkg 3.55 (std gear), 17" Pmetric

All numbers hand calculated unless otherwise noted.
Worst Tank - 18.5 mpg
Best Tank - 24.5 mpg
6300 mi average - 22.0 mpg (24.1 mpg lie-o-meter)
EPA Ratings: 18-23, 20

My truck is likely lighter than the average, has smaller tires than average, less aggressive tread than average and less gear than average.
,
I hate to even discuss the mileage my buddies XL Regular Cab 6.5 4x2 2.7EB 101A Sport 3.15 gets. Nobody believes it. He routinely gets 20+ mpg in town and 27 mpg on the highway. Of course I still find it hard to believe Ford would sell a truck with a factory installed hitch and no tow rating too.

Default 2.7 mileage thus far

Bought a 2.7 Supercrew 2WD with tow package. Got 22.3 MPG city per the computer , 22.245 hand calculated. I currently live in San Antonio. Took it on a trip to Waco today and was only getting 22.5, but there was mixed driving results. On the way back about an hour outside of San Antonio, kids had to use bathroom so the Wife filled it up, I forgot to hand calculate it. But after driving the final hour to my home the computer shows 27.4..... at one point I had 28......, albeit I'm trying to see how high I can get it and I'm in flat land so its not a realistic expectation for most..... But I'm loving it.

Bought truck new at 622 miles on ODO.... Currently has 1300'ish

One thing I have noticed. When I buy gas from Costco it is cheaper price wise but don't get the same mpg. Buying from other sources I usually get about 1.5 more per gallon

Might be a regional thing? I always use Costco, the few times I've went with BP, mobil or shell, mpg always dropped and lost a little performance

Most places fuel all comes out of the same pipeline. The only difference is the detergent package which is either injected automatically for the given brand or dropped into the tanker before filling.

From Junction, Tx to El Paso yesterday. Speed limit mostly 80. Drove about 83 got about 14 mpg. Worst mileage on a trip so far but understandable given the speed. We drove about 800 mi yesterday.

Very possible, I first noticed it fueling my boat.
