I had a few tickets in my younger days when i drove a supra, luckily hey were spaced out enough that I took defensive driving...5 times. Of 5 stops, all tickets, one was speeding + ran stop sign, i got all 5 speeding tickets off record from defensive driving course, only ticket on record is that stop sign one.

I did get another pair of tickets when i first moved to San Antonio. I got 75 in a 65, and following too closely. What is funny, is that it wasn't me speeding. The cop was ahead of me, in the lane to the right in undercover car. This little blue subaru came up behind him pretty fast, changed lanes cutting me off, the cop then slowed down and pulled me over. What I think happened was he saw his radar go off, and by the time he looked in mirror, he saw me, with the blue subaru right in front of me that just cut me off. Anyways, I told him he pulled over the wrong person, it was the other guy, and he was being a dick, and was all, 'Well, your just trying to get out of it, if you try, I will see you in court'. Anyways, I filled out a FOIA form at teh dept to get video of the pull over and everything, unfortunately it didn't have a rear facing camera, only my pull over. Took him to court anyways, he didn't show up, all tickets dismissed!!! In traffic court that day, there were 12 people, from 5 different officers tickets, of they 12, 10 got completely dismissed, only 1 officer showed up, and i didn't stick around to see what happened.

Before I always thought it was some myth about them not showing, but apparently, its not, in my court day, 4 out of 5 officers didn't show, and all of those were dropped. I think I will take my chances and fight every ticket I get from here on out (hopefully none, i do work for an insurance company and don't speed anyways), and if i still end up losing, just take defensive driving and get it off my record.

Can't you just get an attorney and get the ticket reduced? While it may cost some up front, saving the points on your license will save when it's time to pay for insurance.

You have it wrong. I wasn't running the moon, I was waiting for it to come to me!
