Default speeding ticket

I got pulled over for going 74 mph in a 45 mph zone. I honestly didn't see any mph sign and assumed that it was 55 zone. There's no fine on the ticket. from 20-24 mph over the limit is $200. HOw much is 25-29 mph over? I know it's a 4 point ticket? Is there anything I can do? This is my first speeding ticket.
Thank you,
TIn
PS> forgot to mention that I'm in NJ.

Anything you can do?

Sure. Suck it up, pay the ticket, pay better attention to the road signs.

When the cop said to you, "I pulled you over for doing 75 on a 45!" Your response should have been. "75? Sorry officer I think is because I had my foot on the brakes."

Just pay the darn ticket and get on with your life man you know the rules, you chose to break them then be tough enough to pay for them.

In Alabama if you go any more than 20 mph over the speed limit, it's constituted as reckless driving, and they can take away your driver's license if they so choose. I have no idea about NJ, but I would definitely considering looking that up and slowing down.

Just for a little background, I had more speeding tickets than just about anyone I knew when I was a younger. Knock on wood, haven't had one in years.

You can speed, you just have to be smart about it.
