Don't let these dopes discourage you. Drive what you want. That's what we Americans do.

Its my hobby. I hate the idea that my truck is stock right now(besides the exhaust). I just want it to be different

Hobbies usually require being able to do something. If your that upset about it do the mods and deal with your parents later

If you have money to pay for mods, then you have money to pay rent.

Save it for college.

As stated by others, it's a '95 F-150. Someone dings it in a parking lot, it's totaled.

It gets hit with hail? It's totaled.

After college, or whatever your post High school plans are, have at it. Until then, you're living in your parent's house, which means living by their rules.

I like how you wanted to know how others approach the purse string holder in their lives and instead you got 50 responses about how irresponsible you are. Talk to her like a man, be careful with your money and do what you gotta do. Don't worry about what everyone else has, be happy with what you got and can afford.
FWIW, I'm the purse string holder. There are a lot of mods I don't do because I can't justify spending the money.

It went kinda haywire. I was wondering what eveyone did. To get ideas. But it went the wrong way. Its all good though. Eveything helps. As long as its constructive its good.
