Default Factory Camera anytime?

Is there a way to add a toggle switch so I can turn on my factory camera anytime I want too?
The camera screen is in the rear view mirror.

I think you're trying to defeat a safety feature.

Defeat a saftey feature? How so? If anything, I want to add a safety feature because it would be nice to see the hitch area when Im on long road trips so I dont have to stop all the time to make sure everything is OK.

The camera is on all the time. It is the monitor that is off. You should be able to figure out which wire is 'hot' with the truck in reverse and tap that with your switch. It should be in the harness going to the mirror. What year is your truck?

You can create a signature so people won't have to ask.

It is illegal to have a monitor in view of the driver while the vehicle is in motion. That safety feature.

When I get home I'll see what wire you need to tap, been thinking about doing it myself.
