ConnocoPhillips stations near my house sell gasoline with no ethanol. That's the only place I fill up. As for the octane, I was told by a Ford mechanic that 87 is fine.

My truck seems to run the same with 87, 89, or 91, until you put a load on it. If you want every bit of hp, & torque, especially at higher rpm's then run 91. I would run 93 if it was sold in Oklahoma.

Why do would you need 91 or 93 for every bit of hp and torque if ford Recommend 87? Just asking. I just bought my truck jan 4 I'm guessing the dealer puts in 87. My first fill up was last Thursday I put in 89 I think that burning faster then 87. Or maybe the cold here in ny the car sits a lil more for warm up.

Ive tried 87, 89, and 91 and definitely notice a performance increase in the higher grades. I run 89 though just to save a little.

I run 87. I tried several tanks of 93 and for the slight increase n performance and gas mileage, it simply was not worth the extra cost. I guess it would run better if tuned for 93 bit I am very happy with the performance and mileage I am getting on 87.

My truck is a daily driver and not a race truck and had worked with out flaw.

87 is fine. As far as alcohol, it has no business being in our gas. The only reason it is still being mixed in our gas is some old senators in corn growing states not letting it die. Even the tree hungers admit that the by products of growing all that corn and making alcohol is way worst for the environment. Too late now, we can not stop as the corn lobbyist are well funded!
