87. But only top tier fuel. Chevron, 76, Exxon, Mobil, Texaco. I can get up to 27mpg going from San Diego to LA at 65 mph. I'm at around 25 when I get home after making my business stops.

That's impressive mileage. Which rear axle ratio do you have? I'm guessing it's a 2wd truck?

2wd. 2013. 3.53 gears. 17" tires at 42 psi. I've done the same trip several times as that's where I go to pick up custom seats for my van conversion business. It'll show 27mpg to 26.3mpg.
I've checked it by hand calculating and by the dash meter and it's allways very close to each other. Three trips to SF area from San Diego and two were at 22 plus when I got home and one was between 19 and 20 as I did 80mph for most of that trip.
Yesterday I drove from San Marcos to Chula Vista, about 60 miles, and decided to reset the mpg indicator and it showed 27.5 when I got off the freeway. It drops quick in city driving giving me about a 19 average but with the amount of driving I do I'm very happy with it. The fuel savings is making my monthly payment compared to the 06 5.4 that I had a few years ago.

On ford website, one of there infomercials tout only need to put 87, so that what i put in. I am sure the 91/93 gives the engine better performance, but the added fuel cost negate any true fuel mileage savings. All I can say is if we all had our regular gas back (non-ethanol), 87 would be just fine. Dam politicians
