It's still cheaper than a new motor.
I used two years of the seven year maintenance warranty.
I receive 4 oil changes a year, free tire rotation, Air filters, wiper blades ect.
Bumper to bumper.
I change my oil & rotate the tires every three months whether it needs it or not.
Yea it costs more. Well worth it if you have the $$$$.
Pay now or pay later?
Too many Horror stories without the warranty.

Extended warranties are proven to be a waste of money.

That said, and with talk of extended warranties, I thought I'd mention I've had MBI, mechanical breakdown protection, through Geico on every new vehicle I've owned over the past 20 or more years. I have no affiliation with Geico other than as a policyholder.

It is phenomenal coverage that I've used many times. It's a $250 deductible for each occurrence and they pick up the repair cost. Rates were never raised as a result of making a claim. And the premium is very cheap, perhaps $100 a year or so.
Same here on both my Fords. Haven't had a need to use it yet, my F150 has 43K and still under powertrain, and the Focus is still under B2B, but once both are up, until 125K miles, $3 a month is CHEAP insurance for this kind of coverage.

When I bought my truck I discovered that the warranty price and terms are negotiable. I think I paid 1,200 for full coverage until 2018 or 100,000 miles. It is a Ford warranty.

If you don't plan on keeping your vehicle I wouldn't of got one.
I plan on keeping this one. I was planning on keeping my 2014 Lariat until I had a fender bender. I usually trade when I need a set of New Tires.

I'm betting I will have to use the next Extended warranty in the seven years.
Ford is betting I won't have to use it.

Extended Warranty's are Negotiable. you can get them from Zero deductible to I don't know??
