The ecoboost issues just need to be out in front of everyone. I got burned by the ecoboost- twice... SHO and F150. So, now I alert others to the downfalls that lurk within the ecopoop.

again, there is no questions that a MINORITY of EBs have had issues, and it blows that you had 2. Your problem is that you keep saying "EB = turd ready to explode; 5.0 = best thing since sliced bread, never issues, perfect engine". that's not the case either. Do you have a 5.0? (cant remember). My first EB had issues, my 2nd has been perfect so far. so, now we're up to 50/50, right... the average is going up...

f**k it's a slow day, why do I even bother?

I have had 3 6.2L Ford trucks... Loved every one of them and they never had issues (nor did the masses) or require the very very frequent maintenance that an ecoboost needs.

If you get an Ecoboost, you will definitely feel a difference when towing.

So all the folks who've been piling miles on their EcoBoost-powered trucks without issue are experiencing a fluke then? Your experience is the norm, and the rest of us are just lucky?

Glad I'm lucky. Have a 2010 SHO with EcoBoost.
Not an F150 but a great car with the first Eco 3.5 Ford engine that is very similar to what the F150's have.
Never an engine related issue in over 5 years now.
Great power and mileage.

better go buy a lottery ticket, 'cause I hear those SHO and F150 EB's are real POS... you are definitely a lucky guy

I'd swap a 6.2 in that b**ch if I were you, those are goddamn bulletproof engines!!

I'll keep the old car a while longer. Too late to swap for a tried and true 5.0 or a 6.2 - each with less power than the Eco.
I would have bought a new truck with an Eco engine but the old 4.6 is still running strong.
I own two of these Ford problem childs and just waiting patiently for the problems to begin.

This is a very ignorant response! Either can have issues, but hey you must be an expert huh?
