I went looking for one yesterday at my local oreillys. I thought I would find the Dee Zee product but they carry the Stabilus Product. Thus the price difference of about $15 between the two.

Anyone have any experience owning both ? If they both work equally well and have about the same life span, why spent more ?

I have to think you get what you pay for but is this an exception to the rule ?

I think they are the same, just branded different. I have the Stabilus and it's great. Works flawless.

Thanks for the link.
I think they are one in the same now. I'll just get the Stabilus local then.

I don't have the link to it handy but others had that same problem and called the company about it.

I believe the instructions called for 9 complete turns. They had done that and still loose. The company said to go to 13 turns. They did and problem was solved.

Could you mod it with a heavier oil for slower fall rate?
