Ok, so I have to take my truck in to get the oh **** bar replaced, but can't let them see my tuner. Do I need to return the truck to stock when I take it off, or can I leave it where it is and just plug it back in after it is finished at the dealership?

Return it to stock, take the programmer and cable out, and ask them if there is any reason (TSBs) for them to re-flash the PCM.

Tell them that you really like the way it drives (finally adapted to your style) and you don't want them to mess with it.

Make sure you write down your hex code before you take it in.

If that's the case then why would he need to return it to stock? They're not gonna care that it's got a tuner on it. They shouldn't even notice, for that matter. Hell I took my truck in with it lowered and had the A/C fixed under warranty and they didn't say anything or make an issue about it.

+1, that should have no effect on the handles. unless they say youve got more power now so it made the bar break from more torque lol but i doubt it

Im not sure Im pretty sure tuners will void the warranty.. Ford made the truck to run a certain way.. On a preset fuel to air ratio.. when you change the way it runs im pretty sure they dont like it lol

Yeah, they told me that if I put a tuner in it would void the engine and tranny warranty. The only reason I want to take it off is because they have to take pictures of the broken part, and they will get the tuner too. I'm just afraid they will make note of the tuner and have pictures to prove it.
