Default Which one to buy?

I'm looking into buying a F250. I'm undecided on whether to buy a 7.3 turbo diesel or a 6.0 turbo diesel! I like the way the 06-08 look but I'm scared of getting the engine. For the 7.3 I love the engine but like the looks of the 06-08. Of course I'd be getting a 4x4. What should I do? Get the 6.0 or 7.3, and reasons?

A 6.0 will be fine just don't buy and '04 or early '05. I had a late build '05 F250 Harley Davidson I just traded in for a new 13 F150 FX4. I had 187k on it With no issues other than a FICM at about 130k. I even run a bully dog on it most of those miles. Was starting to have some front end wear and a bad glow plug, so since I didn't need the 250 for pulling anymore I opted for a new EcoBoost. Don't be afraid of a 6.0 just DON'T buy a 04 for sure

Got it, honestly I don't like gas trucks, I had a 96 f250 7.3 before the truck I have now. I miss the diesel they last way longer then a gas truck.

Get a 6.0. Dont be afraid to buy an early 6.0. If its still running 10 years after it was made i think its proved itself reliability wise

Power wise a 7.3 can't hang with a 6.0 either.

6.0. But if you plan on adding hp, bullet proof it... the 7.3 is great, amd clip swaps are easy but good luck finding one reasonably priced. You can get a 6.0 and bullet proof for about the same as a comparable 7.3
