So I've had my 21 F150 for less than 400 miles, but two different times the trip has reset on my dashboard and shows extremely poor gas mileage. I know the dashboard isn't perfect for gauging your mileage, but it's nice to have an idea how you're doing on trips. Has anyone else experienced this? I didn't hit the "OK" button or anything to reset it, but it reset the miles and MPG while leaving the hours and miles to empty. It now shows 1.7 MPG for the trip. Just weird.
Mine does the same thing. It's very annoying as I use it to measure my milage for work.
If you find out why let me know.
I wish I knew, it just happened to me again yesterday but nothing out of the ordinary. It was right when I started it up to leave work. I didn't mess with buttons or access the gas tank at all. Just weird.
I have this "bug" as well. It just randomly resets the mpg...doesn't mess with any of the other settings on that trip screen. After it resets, the mpg stays at like 1.7 mpg until I hold the ok button and manually rest it, then it goes back o normal. Weird.

Interesting, mine resets the miles and MPG but leaves the time and the miles to E the same. When it resets the MPG it starts at 0 and slowly creeps up. Almost like it's basing the current miles off the entire trip or something. Just odd.
Was just looking up how to reset the trip and the manual says trip resets every vehicle start.
That, if true is annoying as all heck. I want to be able to track specific trips like the one I have coming up tomorrow. Typically, I do close to 2400 miles. I don't think it's reset so far, so I'm going to reset B meter and see what happens.
There are 3 "trips", trip 1, trip 2 and trip. Trip 1 and 2 reset manually with the "OK" button on the steering wheel. Trip is the current mileage since you started the vehicle and resets automatically every time you start up.

I don't understand...it must be a trim level thing. I have a trip 1 and 2, but I do not have a third trip that resets every start up.
