Default thoughts on this pricing

Hi all,

New to the board. 2x Ram owner here (2015 Longhorn and 2020 Limited). My 2020 Limited is having some elec ghost issues that I don't feel like dealing with anymore. Therefore, I am looking at a 2021 Limited w/Powerboost engine. Sticker (blue box) is $74,260, dealer has "Instant Savings" online of $6.062 and incentives of $1,600 (I qualify for that amount) for a web site price of $66,568. X plan pricing is $69,413. Is there more room for price compression?

TIA

You will have to ask your local dealer, sometimes you can get rebates and incentives on top of X plan. But it varies region to region.

I believe the OP is showing a purchase price, including incentives, of $2,845 below X-Plan price (probably based on the dealer's ad). Don't know what the $1,600 in incentives are ($600 cash back and $1,000 Ford Credit?), but if that's all there is he's below X-Plan price less incentives already.

Given the current supply/demand situation, I would jump on that ASAP.

I can almost guarantee you that the "website price" is a lot lower than you will actually pay. Those ads are click-bait. Get a written quote, not some four squares bull**** jotted down on a napkin and then let us know. If you are trading that '20, you are really going to get bent over.

See the "below dealer invoice" or something thread that includes and Excel spreadsheet that will help you with actual cost. There are some sharp guys on here with insider information that can definitely help, but it always boils down to what it is worth to you.

By the time you pay tax and financing, you will be at an easy $75K. If a half-ton truck is worth that to you, spend it!!

I wonder if there is a base savings happening. Another dodge guy is in the process of a limited with a $6,000 savings too.

Doesn't seem like an awful price for a limited given the current market.

I have quotes for 15% off sticker for Lariat Sport 502a. I’m probably pulling the trigger. One dealer says 8 weeks, another says 10-15. Do different dealers have different priority?

It is all done by allocation. The longer dealer may have used all their allocations for a bit.

Or that is the time frame they are seeing and being honest with you. Under promise and over deliver if you will.
