Removed Features?!
Hey everyone. I ordered a '22 Lariat in the middle of February. Last week I FINALLY got my VIN number in the email that my pickup is scheduled to be built the week of 6-20. Then Saturday, the salesman I went through emailed me with a very generic message saying "because the auto industry is dealing with supply chain issues, Ford is going to remove connected navigation and Sirius XM satellite radio from your order. I understand these can be important to you. If this isn't acceptable to you let me know and we can refund your deposit and cancel your order".
I have put a deposit on April 11 for 2022 F150 Lariat Atlas Blue w/3.5 Ecoboost with 501A package, sport Appearance, extended 6" running boards, 36 gal gas tank and sprayed bedliner. Nothing extra fancy because everything that I wanted was pretty much included in 501A package including SirriusXM. I didn't care for Connected NAV because in my view it made zero sense. I would have to pay for service to keep updating it but I already have a much better navigation thru Google maps or Waze.
I am a bit pissed in regards to SirriusXM though. Also I just read in this thread that it would not be possible to add SirriusXM later, which is a bummer. I guess I can stream my music thru Spotify
I am curious if the radio will still have an HD option.
When satellite radios where just coming on a scene, one was able to add a receiver for either Sirrius or XM (that was before the merger). I know radios where much simpler but why wouldn't someone not able to add a Sirrius/XM receiver?
I don't have a VIN # yet but assume looking at everyone the time frames that I might be getting it around July/August.
I was in the boat. I ordered a 501a back February, and haven’t been scheduled for build yet. Because I was getting impatient I stopped by the same dealer to look at a 502a that was ordered by someone else and not purchased. Long story short- I decided I would wait for my build since it was much less expensive. I had him pull it up to make a minor change and got all the same notifications about removing co-pilot 2.0, nav, and SXM. I know I could live without those, but it was frustrating enough that I now own a 502a in Space White that is very well equipped. Good luck.
Well either we ordered from the same dealer or Ford provided all dealers with canned response that should be sent out to all pre-orders.

Just found out today that my truck is scheduled to be delivered July 14th, which is great news, but this post is worrying me. The dealer has assured me that mine wasn't affected, but it was built on May 25th and it's a 501a Lariat. Do you guys think my order was unaffected or should I be concerned? I can live without nav and Sirius, but the adaptive cruise is a must.
I received an email on May 19 that my truck with 302A and Connected Nav was scheduled for build the week of 6/27. A couple of weeks later I received notification that the build was being moved up to the week of 6/20. I was just able to view my window sticker for the first time today. my Blend date is 6/22 and the sticker does show that Connected Nav/SiriusXM was deleted. I am not really upset about that because I was rethinking whether or not I should have ordered Connected Nav. What I am worried about now is that I may not get the Ford Co-Pilot Assist 2.0. That would really make me reconsider taking delivery. It doesn't mention that being deleted on the window sticker. Is it just the Co-Pilot Assist Active 2.0 that is being deleted from builds?
I got an email mid-late may with blend date 6/10 (302A XLT) with same concern. My window sticker appeared about 10 days before not showing any removals of Nav or 360, but I asked dealer and he said it shows them as removed in his system, so I don't know what to think. Ford chat said window sticker that I see now may not be final one. I am also considering just passing on my order too, and looking for a used one - or another company - or rolling dice with a 2023 for more money, but not keen on any of those choices tbh.
