Default Reliability Issues

Thanks for any input. I have had 3 F150’s since 2010. A 2010 Lariat, 2019 STX which was traded for a 2019 XLT 302A. All 3 were Perfect and zero issues.

I am considering a 2023 XLT302A or Lariat 501/502. I’ve been researching on a few forums and it seems there are quite a bit of issues with the 2021+ models, I understand the Covid impact.

With that said are there any current issues that are ongoing that would deter you from buying a new F150? I would hate to drop 70k on a new truck and have my CEL pop on the first month.

I don’t remember this amount of issues with the 2019 Models. Thanks.

Mine only sees the dealer for regular services and recalls. Though the sunroof drains did separate.

My ‘22 Lariat 502A Sport with 3.5 EB has been flawless over the 19K miles I’ve put on it. I’d buy again in a heartbeat…nicest vehicle I’ve ever owned by a long shot. I’d have no issues buying any model, any engine. You hear of a minor issue here and there, but overall I believe the 14th gen to be a solid, high-end pickup truck that the competition can’t touch.

I appreciate the input. It seemed a lot of issues were related to the 3.5 Powerboost which I would not be buying. 570 Torque sounds really fun though.

i too have a ‘22 Lariat 502A Sport with 3.5 EB, LOVE IT, driving mix city and highway, During spring/summer I avg 30mpg and go 740miles in between fill ups. Only issue i had recently was my A/C stopped blowing cold air, my local dealer had to replace my evaporator core (under warranty) took couple weeks but they did a good job. Still love the truck!

I ordered everything in my 2022 F-150 Lariat 502A PowerBoost except for the trouble-prone sunroof and cannot be happier. No troubles so far.

Mine only has about 1500 miles on it so it is not much to by but so far I like the truck. My complaints are the B&O Bound sound system and the covid deletes. The Powerboost is great so far.

I have a ‘22 Lariat PB with nearly 30k. Other than a recent check engine light related to catalytic converters it’s only been to the dealership for oil changes and recalls. Love the PB feature for camping and other work related needs.

I refuse to believe any EcoBoost gets 30 MPG. Too many fake robots on the internet.

I own a PowerBoost and I can confirm I have gotten over 30 mpg on a 180-mile roundtrip. It helps significantly when I don't have a lead foot.

I would think an EcoBoost can do it since it doesn't have a battery.

I have also been able to accomplish that on my V8 Chevrolet as well, in fact, it's easier with the Chevrolet since it has cylinder deactivation and no battery weight.
