I have also had issues with the screen going blank, the truck completely draining the battery in less than 24 hours, and multiple false warnings that the tailgate is down. Recently, the tailgate dropped on its own damaging the paint on the tailgate.

As a result of these repeated problems, my F150 will soon belong to someone else and I’ll be driving another brand.
Ok, so what happens to all the lemons that get traded in or sold to unsuspecting used buyers? I see this all the time on these forums. Owners getting rid of bad trucks that can't be fixed. This is why everytime I'm at a dealer and see all those newer used trucks they always have, I'm like nope. Nope.

I wouldn't buy a new truck for a number of reasons...price, value, quality and the ridiculous credits Ford gives for missing options!!! ($50 credit for no heated steering wheel) lmfao
Didn’t use it and bought a Mustang GT for the fun but like everything the grass is always greener. The XLT 302A was at 0% and made a lot of sense over the STX I traded. Was thinking maybe i’d like to travel once I permanently retire with a small RV and would need a truck for that….and if Ford drops the rates I would do just fine with the amount I would get off msrp…

Honestly, I don't get it with people buying used F-150 trucks since they hold value so well. My past F-150 trucks were discounted so heavily they were cheaper than used F-150s on the lot.

A used truck is like a warm toilet seat. Will not consider it.

To be fair, as a result of contact on this forum, Ford did open a case on my truck, and I had repeated updates from "Ford Customer Experience" regarding diagnosis of the issues with my truck, but another organization within Ford determined that the shudder, jerks, and slams were normal, and even though the dealer was convinced I had a bad transmission, Ford would not go any further to remedy the drivetrain problems with my truck.

They did however, provide me with an extended warranty for 5 years and 75,000 miles with a $100 deductible. That gave me 15,000 additional miles of drivetrain warranty. They also gave me a $2,000 credit toward the purchase of a new Ford truck. In the end, after owning five Ford trucks through the years, those incentives weren't enough to convince me to keep this truck or get another Ford after the experiences I've had with my 22.

Like you and @Bigglesworth, the only way I would consider a one or two-year old truck is if it belonged to a friend or family member, and I know its history. There are a lot of people who trade every couple of years because they can and they want to. Then there are people like me. I kept my nearly perfect 2012 King Ranch for ten years and sold it to my son-in-law. If I trade a truck that is one or two years old with 20 K miles, there is a problem.
