Is Powerboost worth it?
I can’t find the exact link to the CR article but here is one and it’s pretty obvious from user complaints on the forums as well.

F150 Hybrid batteries are around $3,000 + Labor so its on the lower end of the cost spectrum. But its still something to be aware of if you decide to keep one for the long term. FWIW, that would not deter me away from a F150 Hybrid. If I were to purchase a truck right now I would want a 2024 STX and PB isn't an option.
It’s a risk, I would expect them to improve for 23 & 24, obviously. If it’s the truck you want, go for it. I was looking at them closely, but it was not worth for me when I purchased my 23. Keep in my hybrids are really hard on ICE motors. It’s takes a toll to constantly start / stop, warm up, cool down, sometime starting and hitting high rpm’s immediately without the oil at full operating temps. There isn’t obviously a lot of long-term data on this truck, but if you look at motors that are exposed to this type of operation, they don’t tend to have very good longevity. It’s far from ideal. Personally, I would choose the lightening over the hybrid if you really want electric.

As for Lightning…no thanks. That is laughable. EV trucks suck. Almost no point of owning them.
Cylinder deactivation on 5.0? Toyota hybrids that have been around for decades? Auto Stop feature on 90% of cars nowadays. There are plenty of data about longevity! Ford is kinda late to market with hybrids compared to Toyota and Hondas.

Pretty far reach to compare the Ecoboost 3.5 vs a small NA engine barely pumping out 150 HP in their most reliable hybrids. I understand about the lighting, very poor range but they seem pretty reliable.

How do you come up with this nonsense? Almost every post you made here has made up garbage in it. I even mentioned that I couldn't consider a PB because its not offered in the trim level I would want. Anyone with a double digit IQ would read that and know it would be a consideration IF offered.

For you, dear goodness, your BS spews out every single post in this thread. Remember that time at band camp when you based your claim about hybrid longevity and issues solely on its warranty? That was funny.

Show me where i made up anything? I have either told you my experience with data to back it up or data from 3rd party.

Post 72 response is irrelevant, I never mentioned mileage failures.
Post 75, saying I talk out of my behind, but never mentioning exactly what you disagree with.
Post 92, Yet again, you spew bs at me but don't state what you disagree with and why.
And now post 97. I never once said hybrid longevity and issues were based on warranty.
Fact: All batteries fail eventually.
Fact: Ford warranties hybrid battery 8 yr/100k.
Fact: If you had to replace it, the battery cost almost $3k + Labor
Fact: PB is not offered in trims I am interested in.
Fact: 7.2kw option is $750
Other key points from my previous posts:
Hybrid battery would NOT deter me from the Powerboost
7.2kw option is a no brainer if you want the PB
Similar highway mileage can be achieved with any F150 engine, but PB is going to get substantially better city mileage
A reason not to get a PB is to have a truck with more payload.
That's the key points of everything I said only going back to post 35.
You constantly tell my I am "talking out of my behind like always". So if it always happens, name ONE point you disagree with and tell us all why.
I'll even help get you started: Batteries don't last forever.
Post 60, assuming I push to the max limit when it was never mentioned.

You mention payload as some big deal…it ain’t. You mentioned 200 lbs leeway, which is dumb…and clearly you have no idea what you’re talking about.
All batteries fail eventually…so does all engine. I really don’t care what your interests are. Why does everything revolve around your specific interest when the topic is about PB in general?
And yes, i stand by what i wrote…you talk out of your rear end often…and you are wrong often.

My comment about the hybrid battery warranty is blatantly obvious. It gives consumers confidence. I am not surprised you do not understand.
The rest of your post is way beyond stupid and I wont justify it with any response.
Still waiting for you to reference any of my points, tell me I am wrong and explain why.
