Default Paint issue

I bought a 22 Platinum back in December and everything outside of a bad battery has been great with the truck so far until this weekend. I noticed the paint worn down to the metal on the drivers side rear door and the also on the area where the C pillar meets the roof of the truck along the door jam. At first I thought it was dried wax but when I looked closer I noticed the paint was worn down to the bare metal in at least one spot. The rag I used to try and wash off what I thought was dried wax had red paint on it, the truck is Rapid Red. I am going to take it to the dealer on Friday to see what they say as far as warranty because I am still within the 3/36k period. Has anyone here had anything similar happen or any dealings with Ford on paint warranties? I have never used any harsh chemicals or such on the paint, the truck was built May 22 so there is no reason the paint should be coming off like that. It doesn't look like it's peeling but paint shouldn't just rub off a car like this. Any advice on dealing with Ford for this issue would be much appreciated.

Is the area you describe on the drivers side rear door in the same location as the wear on the c pillar or somewhere different?

Yes, it is right below that area but the door and the jamb do not touch one another.

Do you drive in particularly dusty conditions often?

If you look at a couple of the pictures you can just make out the top of the door.

No, there are also no scratches anywhere and the area is completely smooth the to the touch. The rest of the paint on the truck seems fine.

That’s seems super odd to me. I’m sure you would have noticed it sooner if it was delivered that way. Clearly paint still coming off if you are getting red pigment on your cloth. You could suggest a fault with the colour coat but you are saying the wear there is through the clear, colour, and primer down to bare metal. As smooth and gradual as the wear line appears from the photos it’s like someone perhaps buffed the vehicle and wore through the layers with the buffer on the extreme edge. Did you have detail work done recently? Otherwise I’m tapped out 😀. Hopefully the dealer helps you out with it.

It wasnt like that when I picked it up in December and I have never used an electric buffer on it. The truck was detailed by the dealer purchased it at but the paint was not damaged then. To me it seems like the issue is in the paint itself but as always dealing with dealers and paint its a crap shoot.
