Ha, I do not enjoy the feature day to day, so I was happy to sign the A.S.S. delete acknowledgement paper at the dealer when buying my truck. Saved me from having to buy the eliminator. That said, if I did have it, I am sure I would find use for it sitting in traffic (which rarely happens as we don't travel to congested areas very often).

My '20 Jeep Gladiator had it but it never worked correctly. Those JT/JL's have two batteries, the second assisting with A.S.S. If it was at a poor state of charge, it would turn the start stop off. I think I experienced it working twice in my 6mo ownership of the Jeep (I don't recommend one as a family vehicle).

Right, but after you dirve for a bit and charge the battery past the miniimum required SOC for A-S-S to kick in you will be right back down below minimum a couple of starts later. I have seen F150 trucks never get out of charging state for that very reason meaning A-S-S never kicks in for months ;-)

This carried into the 2024 production. My '24 doesn't have it and there was a $50 credit on the window sticker.

My experience has been that once the battery SOC is adequate, the system starts working and continues to until I let the truck sit for several days/weeks and the SOC drops. I've never had it working at one stoplight and not the next.
