It's an interesting idea on paper and I thought I'd like it when I bought my truck a few weeks ago, but I find myself turning it off more and more. I'll probably disable it before too long.

I've only driven rental cars (in England) with it. God help you if you have stick shift with it. After a while in auto, I played the system by stopping short and creeping up at the lights to keep the engine running. But it sure is interesting if you are driving in a place like London's stop/go traffic to see how much time the engine is off and fuel saved.

Many people afflicted with this Curse in their vehicle(s) would gladly pay to NOT have it! You are a lucky man.

Doesn't bother me much either. If I forget to shut it off, I will press the button at my first stop light when I realize it's still on. Stupid feature.

Almost certainly. Do you know the build date?

Do you have the original Window Sticker[did you buy it new] if so it should have the Auto start/stop as Deleted on it?

I did buy it new (85 miles at the dealer), but for some reason, they removed the sticker and I didn't get it. Not sure of build date, bought it Sept 2023.

The Stop Start is the most ridiculous thing the Feds ever mandated. The pennies that are saved in gas will be spent when you have to replace the starter sooner.
We were stuck in a huge traffic jam in my wifes Jeep Grand Cherokee and this is what the Stop Start was designed for right? Stop and sit for a 5 minutes, engine shuts off, finally pull forward repeat for nearly 2 hours. Well by the end of this mess the system was disabled and a prompt came up to go to the dealer. The batteries were only 2 years old at this point. When we got home I charged them but it didn't fix the problem. I then disconnected the batteries and charged each separately and so far so good and no trip to the dealer. The stop start had drained the extra battery to the point it would not recharge from the alternator.

I have the stop start on my 23 Lariat and luckily the heated steering wheel which was also a delete due to the chip shortage but the stop start is dumb. You are not missing anything.

Except, you know, the Feds never mandated it. They did set MPG goals, and manufacturers used different methods to get there. Some use start/stop. Some use cylinder deactivation. Some used software to cheat the tests.
