Custom ordered mine from Grainger in October of 21. Spent a bunch of time deciding on the build but don’t remember if it was as then an option to delete it or if I just missed it.
Overall really liked my truck .

many articles talking about how this feature kills your engine/starter etc.
You may be thinking of the other feature, which shuts off the engine when you stop. What I'm talking about is when you come to a complete stop, you can take your foot off the brake, but the truck stays "braked", and the brake lights stay on. Then when you step on the gas, the brake is released and away you go.

My truck also has the other feature which shuts off the engine when you stop. The latter I have a dash switch for.

You can enable either one independently, or both at the same time.

I DO disable the engine shut off one every time (using the dash switch), because I had a starter go bad at 5000 miles. I am pleased with the one that lets me rest my foot/leg at lights. I'm old. LOL

That is auto hold feature. You can enable or disable it via the head unit.

Yes, I noted that up thread. However, some Ford vehicles also have an easily accessible dash or console button to disable it, such as my wife’s 2023 Explorer. I’m guessing that maybe some F150s also have such a button? (Mine does not)

For those who tipically have a low state of battery charge due to short trips, the A-S-S further aids in battery depletion due to frequent on/off

We were stuck in a huge traffic jam in my wifes Jeep Grand Cherokee and this is what the Stop Start was designed for right? Stop and sit for a 5 minutes, engine shuts off, finally pull forward repeat for nearly 2 hours. Well by the end of this mess the system was disabled and a prompt came up to go to the dealer. The batteries were only 2 years old at this point. When we got home I charged them but it didn't fix the problem. I then disconnected the batteries and charged each separately and so far so good and no trip to the dealer. The stop start had drained the extra battery to the point it would not recharge from the alternator.

I have the stop start on my 23 Lariat and luckily the heated steering wheel which was also a delete due to the chip shortage but the stop start is dumb. You are not missing anything.
And you already paid extra for it, with a beefed-up starter and all the required circuitry.

I haven’t been able to comprehend the hate towards the auto stop start feature. My 2017 had it and after the first month I hardly noticed it. It never affected performance, acceleration, etc…And if it saved me a few bucks per month on gas, good deal. As for the life of the starter, I bought my 17 brand new in 2017 and had it until February of this year, 7 years total, and not even the slightest issue with the starter.

Actually, the auto stop/start will be automatically disabled when the battery isn't in the appropriate SOC.
