Eh, it's fine if he doesn't want one. Ford said it's a stepping stone and they will still be selling ICE F-150s for years. I just question his insistence in spending time on this topic if he has no interest in it, unless he thinks others need to know he doesn't like it. I know it's a discussion forum and we can discuss anything, but I don't go to every thread if it is about stuff I don't intend to do anything with (like the leveling/lift threads), and I definitely wouldn't go in them just to be like "LIFTS KILL FUEL MILEAGE GRRRR".
Well you quoted a bunch mumbo jumbo about "improvements in armor and battery "crumple" zones"". The use case our fellow poster discussed was strapping another battery to the trailer. Not sure how you "armor and crumple zone"
that.
Battery packs aren't just sold is a pile of AAs you throw in tupperware. While I don't follow the logic of a battery trailer system, I get you there, any battery pack mounted to a trailer could have the same protections available to the EV F-150. I don't suspect they meant just mount several rows of batteries wherever they can be screwed in.

Good point. Just get tired of Ford's "Tesla does it, we do too!" attitude. I am here initially because I am a little more vested in what Ford does than most posters. But you make a good point and I will now bow out.

He's a good kid, I'm just poking fun. I'm sure people will use the front storage area... I'm not going to perpetuate that stupid contraction that somehow got started.
Lithium batteries are already being towed and a lot of newer trailers are trending towards all electric service. I agree with the hazards 100%!!! But this is the only way I see EV towing longer distances in the near future. Unless this $4T infrastructure plan intends on wireless charging on roads and interstates.
Am i the only one that thinks the Headlights and tail lights are hideous? Also weird that they did not update the shape of the headlight and tail lights to reflect the 2021 model. Looks like some Ebay specials.. Other than the lights, This thing is awesome but i wont be a buyer.
I absolutely hate it more than anything I have ever seen. The tail lights are a close 2nd, followed by the vertical tablet. I wish everyone would quit trying to copy Tesla and just make their own thing when it comes to EV. The specs are better than I thought they would be, and I didn't even think they would get a frunk, but that thing is spacious and I can see benefits there. Unfortunately what the range will likely be when towing eliminates this as a possibility for me. I understand that most pickup truck buyers these days only need to haul something every now and then from Home Depot and this will fit their needs nicely, but I tow a Jeep on a trailer, and 150 miles when towing wont work. One day when batteries take the next step an EV truck might work for me, but we are still years off from that. With all that said I think this will sell well as it fits a good market, question will be when will it actually get delivered? My money is on 2023 at least.

They claim the order bank will open in Fall deliveries Spring 2022.

I know what they claim, but with how far behind truck manufacturers are right now, coupled with the claims many EV truck manufacturers have claimed for their first deliveries that have already come and gone, added to the claims of when the Bronco would be delivered, has me a bit skeptical of a Spring 2022 delivery. I still can't even order a Tremor, regardless of what some dealer sales reps are telling people. There is not a way for Ford to take that order yet, but once upon a time it was claimed that you would be able to order one this Spring.
