That's not a bad idea when you think about it.

So Ford was aware of this problem and issued a TSB in 2018. Were trucks built after that upgraded with the repairs listed in that TSB? If so then there fix is not working, as I have problems with my 2021. In fact it's warming up right now so I can use the inside door handle and go to a Doctors appointment. 22° outside and the handle is froze solid.

My '21 sits outside all the time and when our temps hit 0° and below last week it didn't freeze. It's completely exposed to the elements and has never froze. I'm wondering if there isn't a mechanical issue somewhere along the line. Have you had the door opened to inspect? Good luck!

I just got the '21 this past June. Never heard of the door latch issue until it happened to me for the first time about a month ago. At first the door wouldn't latch. Now that seems to work even in the cold but the inside door handle won't move until the interior is well heated. Even after idling in the driveway for close to a half hour it still wouldn't budge. But after a 10 minute drive with the heat blasting it opened when I got to my stop. It feels like the cable is stuck until it is heated. So far been too cold to take the door apart, but it is something I want to do when Winter is over.

That was my initial impression..... a cable is binding against a metal piece that is expanding and contracting with the temps.
