Very happy with my thinkware U1000. Over your budget by about $50 but does all of those things and files can be accessed on phone via WiFi connection. Multiple ways to hardwire it. Video quality is good.

Ive had blackvue 650 and 750 front and rear which were ok. Like the profile of em. I now have a thinkware 1000 sitting in a box. I’ll be installing it this coming week. From everything I read and researched, cause I was going to get the new blackvue, is that this is the best. Better image sensor, Sony, and better nighttime. Not that the 750 was bad but I like to get the latest and greatest. It’s $600 though.

if you want my 750 dual, id sell it to. DM me.

I installed the Blackvue 590x front and rear camera system. The cameras are so small you can fit it behind the rear view mirror on the passenger side. Get a hardwire kit, I had to wire it to a fuse leg because I couldn’t find a fuse tap to fit Fords new 3 prong fuses.

Blacboxmycar.com is a good source for dash cams.

Anyone installed 2 Thinkware U1000 dual cameras in 1 vehicle? Might be overkill.

I’ve had so many....the best yet is the Garmin line. I have the 66w. Much better than the import Amazon trash.

Something I've been thinking about is:

Why doesn't Ford just enable pushing the camera feeds to a UBS thumb drive. The cameras are already on the vehicle. Why not have an option under camera settings for DashCam Setup to USB. Have a virtual button on the Sync-4 that anytime you have something Dashcam-worthy you hit he button and it saves the last minute of each camera. Or if it detects a crash it does it automatically,

Resurrecting this thread in hopes that other people will chime in with their dash cam installs. I decided to go with a Garmin 56 for my cam, and I will be hardwiring to my passenger side fuse box using Garmin's parking mode cable and Littelfuse add-a-circuits.

Now I just need to decide which fuses to use. Has anyone successfully done a hardwire into your fuse panel? Which fuses did you use? After reading a bunch of past threads on this subject, no one ever seems to use the unused/spare fuses. Is there a reason for this?

Been a little while since I researched this but for my thinkware if I recall correctly it was because if you want to use the radar function you need to have a fuse that is powered all the time. Do the spare fuses get power from the battery when the truck is off? If you're not going to need to power the camera when the truck is off then it may not be an issue. Again, this is a foggy memory of mine so take it with a grain of salt.
