I've asked the very same question. the truck is loaded with cameras why can't it just capture the video itself. Seems like a very easy thing.

I'm looking at 3 and 35. I will double check, but I don't think 30 is powered in my truck. If it is I will use that too. Going to install tomorrow hopefully.

I'm using the Littelfuse brand Micro2 add a circuit. The instructions say neither fuse should be over 10a, so that limits where they can go.

There's a 5a fuse in 30 but I don't read any power with the engine on or off.

The pro model also has park mode.


Another good dash cam is VIOFO A129 pro duo. It is a very good 4 k setup for $250
