Today I put my order in for a 23 5.0 supercrew XLT max tow in avalanche grey. What are you guys experiencing for lead times on orders? The dealer put my order in and within an hour ford confirmed my order. Now I’m just waiting for the next step being scheduling it to be built. I hear some people say they ordered their truck and took delivery within 2 months and I heard others ordering trucks and not getting them 6-9 months. I’m hoping for a quick delivery. Here’s a picture of the truck I ordered.
I ordered mine on Saturday 4/29. I got a "scheduled for production" notification today (5/3), with a presumptive build date of June 5 and got a VIN number.
What that means is anyone's guess. From what I have gathered, this means nothing, and you really won't know until it actually goes into the "in production" phase, or actually being built.
I'm not expecting the truck until July at the earliest. My father ordered a truck at the same dealer the same day, we actually were able to get some huge discounts by doing it this way ($8000 off MSRP).
I'm getting a 2023 XLT 302a SuperCrew with 6.5' bed, 5.0 engine, FX4, tow package, 3.31 locker, 36 gallon tank, Atlas Blue with Chrome Package, 40/20/40 no-console with a few other options, nothing crazy, I got the work surface and sliding rear window and under rear seat folding storage.
My dad's getting a 2023 XLT 302a SuperCab with 8' bed, 5.0 engine, FX4, trailer brake controller, 36 gallon tank, Carbonized Grey with Chrome Package, 40/20/40 no-console with a few other options. He got the upgraded B&O stereo, sliding rear window
I think his truck is going to take longer because of the 8' bed, but we will see...

I got supercrew 5.5 bed, sport package, fx4, max tow, 5.0, 3.73 electric locker, 360 camera, perimeter alarm, box lighting, 302A, 18 inch wheels, power sliding rear window, power pedals, B&O system, box link, 36 gallon tank and a few other things. My dealer thinks I’ll have it by late July but I think it’ll be longer after reading a lot of post. Especially because I see they are having trouble getting door handles as of today.
I didn't get box link, because I took them off my old truck, and will put them on the new one, lol. I didn't get the adjustable pedals, may regret that one, but I don't think so, I didn't have them on my 2015, didn't miss it, I drove my dad's 2018 which has them and never used them either. My wife occasionally drives my truck if we are on a marathon 12+ hour drive somewhere, she may have gotten some use out of them.
The 18" chrome wheels is one of the things apparently that is holding up orders right now too, according to another post I saw. I almost got the max tow, but wanted to avoid the 3.73, I do a lot of highway driving and that was a mandatory add. My last truck (2015 SCREW 6.5 bed, 5.0) had the 3.31 and got phenomenal gas mileage, and that was with the 6 speed tranny.
I ordered a Platinum BAP Jan 23. We actually were hoping for it to take a while, so the dealer didn't request the "priority build" as they always ask for. To the amazement of all of us, not only did the BAP actually get built but I picked it up on April 20. I was amazed with the speed from start to finish.

I got the 18 inch black and milled wheels that come standard on the sport appearance package. Hopefully those aren’t the wheels that are holding everything up. I went with the adjustable pedals because I’m 6’ 2” and my wife is 5’ 6” so if she drives the truck she can’t reach them lol. I have a 2022 f150 3.5 max tow now but I miss having a 5.0. My wife has a 16 f150 ecoboost and she loves it. I almost wish I went with the 3.55 rear. I hope I didn’t make a mistake. My truck gets used for hauling my ATVs to the cabin but it’s about half highway half back road mountain hills and I use it on nice days around town. I have a work truck so I don’t need to DD my f150. Hopefully I didn’t screw up by getting the 3.73

Im hoping for a speedy delivery. I’m trading in my 22 f150 for the 23 and I don’t want the market to drop and hurt the value of my trade before my new truck comes in. My 22 has 899 miles on it so hopefully it isn’t affected too much
Trucks ordered in 1st/2nd quarter 2023 seem to be tracking at 3 or so months from order to delivery. Granger said to expect 3 months but some come sooner. Depending on your build a deviated delivery is running up to 5 months.

We’re in the 2nd quarter so hopefully mines 3 months or less. I got an XLT, 5.0, sport package, max tow, 3.73, 360 camera , black and milled 18 inch wheels that come standard with the sport and a few other things.

I don’t think you’ll have any regrets with the 3.73.
