wow that’s fast! I got the confirmation email but having gotten anything since then. My dealer has 4 vehicles ordered for people but I’m the only 5.0. The rest are eco or the 3.5 hybrid. When did you order yours?

 

Ordered 2/27. It took 3 weeks to get scheduled and the scheduled date was about 3 weeks after that.
The engine choice shouldn't be a constraint. Certain options and the Black Appearance Package are the biggest constraints right now it seems.

Id be super happy if mine only takes 9 weeks! I don’t think Iv even been so pumped to get a new truck lol the wait is killing me already and it’s only been a few days

 

haha. Exciting indeed. This is my first new vehicle purchase. I plan to keep it a very long time.

My advice is to try to forget about it until the next email comes in. At that point you'll get a VIN and RO # for the tracker. I'd limit yourself to checking once a week since it's not likely to change for a while. :-)

 

Does anyone have any info on the auto start stop? When I ordered my truck last week I didnt see an option to remove auto start stop but all the trucks at the local dealers and my 22 ecoboost have auto start stop removal -$50. Does ford put that on all the new trucks?

 

I placed my order on 4/28, at that time I was told Ford was no longer allowing dealers to include the option to delete auto start-stop as of some date in early April. So your truck will have it. And you can't opt out of it.

I still have not received a schedule build date since ordering the truck on 5/4/23 so I talked to the live chat on ford.com. They said there was activity on my order and they are gathering all the parts to build the truck. They also said there is no backordered parts and no holds on the truck. They said they expect to see the truck hit the production line by the end of the month. Here’s to hoping it hits the assembly line soon!

 

Ok. SO my Lariat which was ordered in October of 22, built on April 8th 2023 and still sitting in Dearborn to be shipped to Granger. Ford hasnt given me anything solid on it and will only say it will be shipped. Latest date was May 21 but still there. No updated information on the online check since april 11. Im getting a tad bit annoyed. Especially now that I sold my current vehicle. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

Geeze, you're more patient than I am. It seems like an unnecessary wait. There are plenty of Lariats on lots around me (Knoxville tn) if you get tired of waiting. I ordered a Platinum end of January/first of Feb and picked it up April; that's crazy you have to wait like that
