They can but they usually don't because Ford warranty doesn't pay for the time to do it. Most customers have no clue about sync updates or what version sync should be on and the dealers can get away with not doing it and it's supposed to be done OTA anyway. Dealer probably doesn't really think about it either.

It's quite the truck dilemma you've got. Both options sound tempting, each with its unique perks. The local '21 Platinum with the 3.5 EB seems like a solid, practical choice, especially with pro power onboard and the tow package. On the flip side, the second one with the 5.0 coyote and that caramelo interior has a certain allure, even if it means a bit more complexity being out of state. Given your preferences and the limited model availability, it's a tough call. By the way, if you're ever into exploring more truck options, you might want to check out www.truckexporter.co.uk. They've got a variety that could throw some interesting choices into the mix.
