How were you able to connect the LED strips to the factory harness and switch? This setup looks very much like what I would like once I have the tonneau cover on the truck. Did you have to buy adapters to clip in to the connectors?

So here is what I did: I removed the driver side stop light (just two bolts), and then fished the power wire from LED strip thru the hole. I did not have patience to get an adapter, so I spliced the wire that goes to factory bed light, and soldered wires to it, then insulated.
I was hoping to use the power button that comes with the strip, but this truck is too complicated - it seems like there is no constant power going to those lights, they are controlled by onboard computer. In other words, even if you wire to what you believe power going to the factory switch (before the switch), you will not be able to turn the lights on. (I know I am not explaining it right, but the LED strip manual was telling to fish the wire all the way to main battery, and of course I am not doing that). So I ended up having both factory and LED strips controlled by the same factory switch, which is kind of awkward - as it behind the swing case. I can still reach it. Either way, it works and I am very happy - very practical mode. (wife calls it Christmas lights on the truck

Do you have photos of the wire location for splicing?

Unfortunately I did not take pics of wire splicing.
You definitely need a multimeter to connect to the right wires.

Default Wire splice with existing bed lights

Here are the splices.

Remove the rear taillights
to gain access. I used the wires going into the existing LED lights on each side. Checked polarity, in my case, green is ground. Ran the wires up through the gap near the top of the taillight assemble.
