OEM lights per ce may not be right solution, but he can re-use factory harness to light up aftermarket lights

It's right in my sig. I got a very late 21, reckon it was one of the last 21's out of the Kansas plant. I added linex before delivery, and boxlink after delivery.

if you've seen the ford factory Berliner being removed it's paper thin. But between it and the tailgate step of the package you probably loose a bunch of payload as well.

Is this the plug on the truck that the new light harness will plug in to? Just want to be sure before I order the parts. Thanks, Don

Thanks. Just looked. The post I quoted didn't have anything in it about the truck. Probably the info was in the first post you made and not subsequent ones. It's happened to me in other threads I've made.

So after going 10 rounds with dealer and ford I lost and finally figured out what to order from this furom and now I need to install. Only problem I have is how to program truck to turn on the option. Is this something I can bring to dealer to program or they won’t do it I am guessing being they told me I can’t get the lights after it’s built being they would need to rewire entire truck. We shall see. I am super scared of this forscan being I am far from computer savvy.

I had same exact issue because Ford website clearly mentions Bed Lightning. Well my truck came in without it and originally I didn’t feel like ordering $1000 option that I didn’t need.

In any case I was recommended by someone from this forum to purchase an aftermarket setup that looks and feels like an OEM.
Follow this link and you will be very happy. Mine works as a charm

Installation description says it should take 30 min. I would agree with that definition if you don’t really care how wiring looks. I am personally very OCD and pretty much spend good 2 hours zip tying all wires. I actually dragged the harness underneath the car from right side to the left side and then zip tied it to original wiring that goes along left side under the cab. Whenever possible I also snaked wire harness thru openings under the bed.

Tonight I finally installed the lights , switch and harnesses in my bed for lighting from ford catalog.com. It took all of 10 minutes and a quick module adjustment on forscan and son of bitch it worked. Very easy add if you have the plugs under taillight as shown above. Thank you hot rod Mex.

Congrats on the install. We’re you referencing the plug photo that I posted? I want to be sure that is the correct factory plug before I order the parts. Thanks.
