Bed length?
I guess everybody's needs/preferences are different. I had one F150 with the 5.5 bed and hated it. If they ever quit making the crew cab with a 6.5 box I'll keep what I have. More times than not if I'm going anywhere on a weekend the 6.5 bed is full, bicycles, coolers, luggage, firewood, ATV, ice shack/sled, mulch, dirt, etc. I don't mind the turning radius, it's small hassle but not as much of a hassle as pulling a trailer.
Got mine delivered last Thursday - 6.5' - so glad to have a decent sized bed again. Could do a 8' but - like the super cab too - and parking in the garage trumps that.
I've got the Supercab with the 6.5 bed. We didn't need the Screw because our people hauler is an Explorer, kids are gone and the grandkids are 1k miles away. I guess I didn't even consider what looks best (and everybody's opinion probably differs), just got what I wanted.
I thought initially the 157 wheelbase SCREW as for me. But ultimately decided that the 145 would be a better fit for my needs. Only two months into ownership and so far, haven't changed my mind despite maxing out the use of the bed and rear seat area a couple of times.
I went with 157 after watching a bunch of my biking friends have to put a bike hitch rack on their trucks because the bikes wouldn't fit in the bed of the truck securely. Plus, I'm 6'4 and might just want to sleep in the bed one day.
The 6.5 is akwardly long. It is a pain to park anywhere including the driveway. It occupies too much space for the benefit you supposedly get. I rarely haul anything in the bed. I have owned trucks for maybe 4 years and I have utilized the bed less than 10x during that period. The annoyance of having to deal with the longer truck far outweighs the inconvenience of not having it. Plus, SCREW short beds look much better.
That is my opinion.
That is my opinion.
