Default Bed length?

What length did yall go with? Do you think the 6.5ft makes the truck look awkward?

Depends mostly on how you will use the truck.

I use the bed of my truck to haul stuff instead of as a trunk. I made the mistake of getting a Supercrew with 5.5' bed. Never again. Next pickup, if there is another, will be Supercab with 6.5' bed.

You can't fit a bike in the 5.5ft bed without removing the front wheel or turning the wheel. 6.5ft is the only choice for me and it fits in my garage. If it didn't fit, I would've considered teh 5.5ft, but to me the 5.5ft looks awkward.

It's all what you're used to. Resale will be good on either bed length, it's not like buying a supercab vs. a supercrew.

I had 6.5 for a few years and it was a little more difficult to park in the city. Then when I upgraded to a Lariat the 6.5 option disappeared in our area. Dealers said that close to the city, the more expensive the truck, the shorter the bed. So I dealt with it for years and did grumble at wrestling the bike correctly so the wheel did not get stuck on the bed cover. Just ordered exactly what I want and went back to 6.5. I figure with all the new tech, like warning sensors and the 360 camera, I can manage and the bike will slide right in.

It looks a bit awkward stock. Leveled/lifted with bigger tires they look great.

I've used pickup trucks with the 6.5' bed and it's often just too small for regular use. Sure if you use it once a month, maybe it isn't that big of a deal. But if you're constantly loading, unloading, and especially living in and out of it, it's just too small.

To me, the 8 foot bed looks more proportionate. The 6.5' and 5.5' beds just look awkward, especially on an extended cabin.

6.5’ for for me, coming from a GM truck with the 5’10” bed and often wished it was a little longer, no way I could’ve went shorter. Just really depends what your usage will be. I wanted to be able to fit my quad in the bed and still close the tailgate.

Regular cab 8' bed. The previous 5.5' bed was useless in comparison, had to have the tailgate down for everything I put in it.

Should just get a mini van at that point.
