Default Another ford failure

No factory fender flare option. Are you kidding me?! Some of us live in areas with gravel roads. Ford offers 0 protection for the part of the fender that rolls in above the tire . Sure, we can buy an aftermarket flare, but then there are no decent splash guard (mud flap) options. Between that and that annoying damn chime when I start my truck this thing really pisses me off. Did Ford not get the memo that when you annoy customers or fail in general it’s a loss?

I suggest you buy a different truck if those things annoy you so much. If you already bought it then I am sure you can sell it for a good price and move on…

Sounds like OP never wanted an F150 to begin with honestly.

Which trim level are you looking at?
Do GM, Dodge and Toyota all offer the flare you are interested in?
Assuming yes, they all can be built the way you want them.

Not sure I'd call it a 'fail'.
Not sure why you feel like singling yourself out by saying you live in an area with gravel roads. There probably aren't a lot of areas exempt from gravel. There are gravel roads in the area of the world I live in too.

You can disable the chimes with a free software call FORScan but you will have to spend about $40 for an OBD reader to control the computer. But you can control a lot of fun things that will make you happy including the ability to turn off all the noisy chimes. You can control the window up/down from your remote. Lots of stuff. All for a $40 OBD tool.

Why is it okay for you to come here and call the members names, but it's okay for you to get all bent out of shape towards Ford. Don't be a hypocrite by calling out Ford then saying people here can't call you out.

You are the exact type of person the forums were invented, so people can make post #1 a vent for their pent up anger. There are hundreds and hundreds of #1 posts with hate and anger.
Can't say Ford has a loss if you've already made the purchase, sounds like you did from your angry comment about the chimes. Note: All vehicles made in 2022 make noises, not just a Ford failure.

Lastly, fender flares look like garbage -that's why Ford doesn't include them.

If those small things constitute a failure to you then whatever you do don’t look underneath at the rusty differential. BTW, am I the only one that isn’t bothered by the start chimes?

Doesn't bother me at all either.

Maybe the OP should have performed more due diligence before purchasing, if those small items represent a failure by Ford for him. Venting is fine but being completely melodramatic, especially when new, tends to elicit the types of replies received.

Edit: I see the OP is NOT a new member - been here 5 years, with 3 posts, so apparently a member who comes to a forum for the information available.

If it's nice then why are you so angry about it? I agree that not having even wheel well liners in the rear is a pretty cheap move. I have some husky mud flaps and they're alright, they don't look out of place. The tone when you turn the key on is like a non issue to me, I dont' even notice it. Every vehicle has one.

I’m not sure why I hate that chime so much? Maybe it’s because it seems the be always squawking for one reason or another. Yeah, I’m a little intimidated by the Forscan but should probably just go for not or hire someone who has the knowledge.
I have a 22 KR Superduty that has factory fender flares. They are low profile, imo look sharp painted to match, and do a great job protecting the inner fender lip from getting all the paint blown off it from rocks. There are aftermarket or style OE flares available, but are currently no splash guards to fit them.
People seem to have lower standards that I do.

just wish they had an option from the factory to keep the paint from getting blown off the fender lip. The liners help inside but the lip is still exposed.
yeah, I need to get over that tone. Just trying to figure out why it needs to let me know I started it. And opened the door. And let me know the motor is running. And hooked up a trailer and….. it seems a little much.
