Default Android guys? help!

Sadly, i am my wifes tech support guy. I'm more IOS , shes Android. Since she upgraded her phone to an S26 , her android auto prompts her phone that it has disconnected every time she gets out of her truck. Is there any way to turn that prompt off?

Not sure, tbh. I have the same phone and I don't get any notification like that.

Don't you want it to disconnect when you get out?

well, you kinda take it for granted that its disconnected. its just that her phone displays a pop up message that it did, she doesn't like having to acknowledge it every time.

I haven't had that happen to me, but it seems like it would be from a setting on her phone, not the truck. I'd start with the bluetooth settings, or within the android auto on her phone. One of them probably has some sort of "notify me when disconnected" setting option.

Disable the connected/disconnected notifications in Settings?

If all else fails, tell her she needs to switch to an iPhone. Good luck brother.

Far from expert but I believe if you get her phone, go to settings, scroll down to notifications, click app notifications, scroll down looking for android auto and you should be able to turn off notification from it. This will likely kill all notifications from the app, I don't have it so I can't say if there are any individual options. Jim

you might be right. i did , and in my test it looks like it might have worked.

I also did "forget vehicles" and re-added it, since it didn't look like it was fully linked. she recently upgraded and just transferred everything to the new phone, so might have been a bug there too.

thanks guys! i think im good now.

Man your the apple dude. Usually it the woman that wants the simplified apple OS...

I would man up and get into the android world.

Anyway I have the new S26 Ultra and no issues, but I turn off wireless android auto it sucks. Just use the wire... USB C cable... Works way smoother.

Also turn off all notifications for android auto not needed to be on. ORRR is this a Bluetooth issue is android auto disconnecting or just the phone connected via Bluetooth.

You can watch u tube or google how to do this.

Good Luck
