For me, wired just doesn't kill the battery. If you are doing short trips under, say 20 mins, that makes no difference.

For a road trip, you absolutely have to use wired if you want to have any battery level left at all.

I'll agree with that. And on a different note, leaving the phone on the charging pad during a trip from Dallas to Corpus caused the phone to overheat and shut down. It eventually restarted, but the cord doesn't do this.

Unsure of the phones mention along with charging, but my Galaxy S23 needs more power than the stock USB ports supply and charged on a pad will shut off charging when the battery is at capacity. For in truck charging I use a 12 volt power outlet adapter. KM

I use a charging pad and wireless android on 6 hour drives regularly with zero charging or heat issues. Wireless android works flawless. S25 phone.
