Amp power step install question
I have searched and searched, but found nothing. I am hoping a friend can help out. I ordered amp power running boards for 2020 f150 after seeing someone installed them from their 2020 to their new 2021.
I got them installed and plugged the odb2 plug into the port but do not work. I disconnected the odb2 adapter and tried them by grounding the deploy wire to a ground bolt and they deployed. And vice versa they retracted.
my question is, is there a negative wire I can tap into for when the doors are open and closed to activate the boards? I am wondering which wires are on the odb2 connector that would activate the boards that AMP was using by the adapter, so I could possibly eliminate that adapter all together.
thank you very much for your help.

I posted this on the installation thread, but I am stuck and am asking for help, please.
I am looking for door trigger wires in the BCM in passenger kick, blue 52 pin plug (J5-E). I looked on 12volt and one of the four wires was correct. The left front door is the correct location, but the left rear, right front and right rear was incorrect. Per them, they showed the locations of 21, 46 and 19. Left rear door, pin 46 had no ground to that wire when the door is opened or closed. The right side doors, wires 21 and 19 had a open circuit (negative trigger) but only when the doors are closed, when the are open they had nothing.
I am trying to hook up power running boards and this is the last I have to do.

If you call Amp good luck with that.
Had a question on installing the boards made for a 21 and the rep freaked out it could not be done they only fit non power boost models and they might not even build a set for a power boost, they need a whole new design got the whole spiel.
Well they fit a power boost very well with the re-clocking of the passenger side motor.
It maybe you will need the AMP specific control module for a 21.
