Hey all, I just purchased a 2022 XLT, and of course it has the SiriusXm & Nav delete from the factory. I was looking into purchasing a new ACM module that has SiriusXM built in but was wondering if anyone knew if the truck already had the factory SiriusXM antenna installed in one of the roof pods? Or would I need to purchase an antenna as well, cause i don't want one sitting on my dash. I would assume that the truck would already include the factory antenna wiring though.
Here's what I went with. Your truck does not have the antenna. This includes one. I installed my antenna just under the dash to where it can see through the windshield. Works great.
OK, so the new ACM module has been ordered with Infotainment. I'm still wondering on anyone's experience if the antenna wiring is in place from behind the dash up to the rear roof area? That way I could also purchase the siriusxm antenna from Ford to keep a stock look. I don't particularly want the look of the aftermarket antenna sitting on the dash. Also what side houses the siriusxm antenna on the roof? Driver or passenger side pod?
I wish it was so but many of the F150's towards around August 2022 and after are being built without the siriusxm & factory nav. I was told both it was a shortage of required parts & that android auto can be used for siriusxm and navigation. I don't want to use tons of data to listen to siriusxm and not always in cell service.
The tuner is labeled as below it has a yellow/curry plug on the rear photo below:
From what I learned it has XM installed already
the antenna is non Xm as below:
Antenna cable from rear to front is present with nothing attached to yellow/curry plug as in photo below:
The other end of the cable terminates behind lower glove box. To remove box squeeze the tabs on the right and left sides, then just swing it down. This is how you also change the cabin filter. It runs below the am fm and is capped with a plug that holds it to a
bracelet. The cap is a universal FAKRA plug.
Below showing wire removed:
So what is missing?
XM right side antenna.
cable glove box to the tuner.
I don’t care about nav or xm 360 just want xm.
So besides above what else is need to restore the XM function
I can not get a clear definition of any parts, as a full 2022 parts list is not up yet on any parts dealer site.
I am not sure but believe the APIM (module right behind screen) is labeled:
NL3T-14G670-EMF but I believe the N is an M? I got this number by sliding my iPhone through a slot that is to the left of the duct work behind the glove box and videoing it. The camera was st an angle. And in some units not with this exact number the m seems to run into the L. That and the fact the other parts on my truck tied into the system all start with ML3T.
So cable, antenna and some programming with ForScan?
Thanks for the reply & pics. So the antenna that would be needed is for the passenger side, that's good to know and should help. Is the antenna cable behind the glove box just not connected but still long enough to reach the ACM where it plugs in? From the info I've found is the siriusxm delete was possibly due to shortage of internal components needed inside the ACM so the replacement I purchased from Infotainment has the internal required components, but I didn't want to use the non factory antenna.

No that is what I was hoping for, that Ford just left it coiled there. I think it needs something similar to this.
On fords part site it shows 3 cables besides the main ones in the rear and rear to front. One of these is the fm am extension. One of the other 2, xm extensions. Number 10 is already installed as is 6 and 3.
orange is AM FM
grey is xm
blue that yellow is plugged into is a cap.
As I said my unit appears to have XM installed when the turner is in place you can see the xm plug on back.
