Thank you for more pictures and info. I did some more digging on information, and there are 2 antennas on any truck with the availability for OTA updates and that might be all trim levels of F150 but I'm not sure. The antenna that I think is needed just to add siriusxm as you say is the right side antenna which I believe is part # LC3Z-19A390-F. and as for the extension cable needed I think it's part # ML3Z-18812-AA. I'm not going to guarantee these 2 part numbers but I will try and follow up with parts desk at a dealer. I think your ACM would still have the sat radio antenna plug on it even though the capability is missing within. It's more cost effective for Ford to just produce the ACM as planed and just not include the missing internal components. But they remove what they can save on such as antenna extension and the more capable right antenna.

We will figure this out

No problem been trying to figure this out since before we even picked up the truck last Friday it was transferred from another dealer and I knew both features were deleted. Just figured I get at least the xm back, some how, Weird thing is my daughter just got her 2022 Bronco, both trucks have close to the same build date, she has XM I know slightly different systems but....

The way I look at it is the credit is for only $200.00 so what ever was left offf only gas a whole sales value of that plus the instal cost to ford. Retail on the antenna and one of those three cable is about 90.00.

See what turner you have? My thought is they would not just put in an XM turner missing a xm chip or board, and give it an XM part number, they just put in a non xm turner without the yellow/curry jack.

Here is same as mine on on eBay.

I came across the complete F150 wiring diagram for
2021 the one below is for the 7 and 8 speaker systems. I found some information though a poster on another forum. He used a splitter connection from the glove box FAKRA with one end going to the APIM the other to the ACM. He was converting from an 8” screen to 12” so slightly different.

I think the splitter is #7 in post 10, part number ML3Z-19A397-A

The diagram labels it a splitter in the parts catalog it is Antenna Cable it says W/O Satellite radio and W satellite Radio??

2021 ford 3.5 eco 7 or 8 speakers

Yes from what I understand the nav information travels through the same cable as the siriusxm sat radio. So i think your correct that this can eliminate the "y" split cable from being required.

Got it up and running here is how it worked for my 2022 xlt with nav xm delete.

Items needed:
Forscan for windows licensed version or 2 month free trial.
OBD to USB extension
Dash XM antenna or in my case an Antenna from a Jeep Wrangler or other Chrysler I pulled one from a 2011 Grand Caravan at a Pick a Part yard cost 3$.

Basic
1. Remove top Dash tray to get to the ACM.
2 Check your ACM for the unused XM plug and that a XM radio code is in the lower left corner of the tag on the ACM (to read the tag you will need to remove the unit0.
3 Plug in and start Forscan
4 Go into the PCIM change the 7D0-01-01 from 0001 to 2001. Power stereo on and off. Now you will have the XM logo in with AM, XM etc.
5 Go into the ACM change the 727-01-01 B828 to 3828. Power stereo off and on. Now you will see no antenna.
6 Power stereo off plug in antenna.

Again, the above changes are what worked for me Your PCIM and ACM may be the same or different! Proceed with CAUTION when using forscan!

I am going to test it out a bit more, but so far, the reception is better than in my 04 Seirra.
If the results continue to meet my expectations, I will drill a hole into the Lower dash tray and sandwich the antenna between it and speaker grill. Below the center dash panel sits a bit of plastic in the corners I think the antenna will fit not using a bolt but double stick tape or command hook refills.

More complex:

1 All of above except the antenna:
2 Remove current cell GPS roof antenna (Blue and Burgundy Plugs0
3 Install XM Antenna (curry and Burgundy Plugs)

But here is where it gets tricky without a Nav APIM and a splitter up front you will lose GPS function in Ford Pass.
Some think a splitter in the rear to tie blue back in may work (untested).
I was wondering if a small GPS antenna with a blue plug again from a Wrangler tucked into the headliner will work?

In Wranglers both of these are buried the XM antenna is on the roll bar under the removable hard top. The GPS is there or under the center dash panel in earlier Wrangers, the panel is similar to the F150..

Hope this helps out.

Also there are companies selling XM upgrade kits with a dash antenna. Though the ACM has digital over the air, it is expensive about 600. f you are buying the kit to just add XM, check you may be XM ready as
it is!

Photo showing there is space between the speaker grill and shelf to fit the Sirius XM antenna.

Antenna lead is long enough to make it to the ACM

Plastic in corner below dash panel.

Lastly since the ACMs have never been registered with Sirius XM you will need to call and explain that you need tech dept to Manually enter it into the system.
When a truck is delivered the dealer does this for you. and it is suggested by ford that they even preset a few of your favorite channels. You can try going through,
the dealer they may or may not be willing to do so. Just easier to call XM. I did have to call twice first agent could not find the radio ID the 2nd knew what to do.

nice job. i may have to give this a go,

so it sounds like if i locate a yellow unused plug on the back of my head unit, chances are good i can just add an antenna, and enable xm with forscan or beg a ford tech at the dealer.

i have a tool that just might work to search with, something like a lighted bore scope, just have to wait for some decent weather.

The yellow plug is very easy to see, windshield side right corner. If you can get high enough over it, you might see it through the windshield.
If you have a center speaker remove the speaker grill, then the 2 screws in the pockets on either side of the speaker. There should be a metal
cross brace, remove that and you should be able to see the curry yellow plug. If there are three plugs, one being white don't worry.

You can get the radio id once you have done all the steps I laid out. But some have said they have seen Non XM units with a dummy yellow plug.
Only way to confirm it is indeed XM is to remove the four bracket screws holding it and remove the ACM.to visually see if the xm Id code is on the
part label. that is hard to see with it in place. So, you may want to just pull it out regardless.

I suppose one can try the activation steps, first but since I am very new to Forscan, and it sounds like you may not have it a visual is probably best.

Seems Dealers don't even know this. They were told in a bulletin that in the future customers will NOT be able to add either back in. Read where someone ordered their F150 and received no delete notice.
On delivery no XM no 200 credit. What did the dealer do? Ordered an aftermarket kit and installed it for free.

Did you end up with any extra Sirius info in your settings menu? my thought was, I believe on past vehicles, the radio id was visible at some point in the menu. unless maybe another forscan switch needs changed

Yes on channel 0, but it will not populate till you change the APIM and the ACM settings. That why In hind site I am thinking one may be able to just c Charge the settings first.

I did not have forescan nor a running windows computer. So my first step was a visual verification, then remembered we had 2 old dell Inspirons (very long story on how we got 2 of these terrible machines both had drives that crashed with in weeks of each other) sitting in the garage. Got one up and running with a new SSD hard 500 drive for 27 and purchased the OBD/USB connector.

In nutshell I had a lot of prep work for what turned into a 20-30 minute job. I am in the Boise area and if anyone in this area needs help with this PM me.

Also for anyone else giving this a shot if your Forscan changes are different from mine post them please.

cool you were able to get it done!

The way you did it did you lose GPS in the ford pass app or was that if you did it the more complicated way?
