Obd ex i got it on amazon next day bud...works perfect and the forscan is the latest update on their site. As for dealers, they are the worst with this kind of stuff and they even have ids which is simple. They wanted 550 bucks to do mine and they said it could not be done, i laughed and said my last 2 trucks a 17 and a 20 was done in my driveway. Needless to say they are not fond of us guys who can do their job more efficent. Im only out the 40 bucks and now have a keypad.

I’m looking at doing this to my 2021 STX I purchased in November. Already took door panel off and confirmed the plug is there. Any chance someone is in Houston or Tomball area for support?

Default Key pad for 2021 STX

Looking for some guidance on if I can add the keypad to my 2021 F150 STX Fx4 5.0? The harness is ran already and I have the card number in my glove box. Everything I’m seeing says the 2020 keypad doesn’t work on the 2021’s. Any help would be most appreciated.

Not in Houston, but if you’re capable enough to get the door off, you can definitely do it.

Just did this myself a few weeks ago. Ended up dremeling the appliqué I had, rather than paying the $100+ for one with the hole from the dealer. BTW, apparently the 2021 XL is the only matte black appliqué, and for whatever reason, no XL has the keypad hole precut in 2021, so you must use a 2020 model year panel if you want to purchase one, rather than cut. The dealer tried to order a few different ones for me for 2021, and they all ended up being the mirrored, shiny, piano black style.

matte door panel with hole (from gen 13): fl3z1520555TA

2021 keypad (gen 14):

Good luck.

Will the wireless ones work on 2021's? I put one on my wife's '14 mustang and it worked great!

Thanks Ross - that may be my back up plan if I can’t do the wired one. I just don’t like the idea of it being glued on plus it didn’t look as good in my opinion.

Only other thing you need, if you don’t have it already, is an OBD2 adapter and forscan for your laptop to enable it in your truck. Check the 2021 forscan thread for the coding you’ll need to change.
