Next pull back the weather stripping, not all the way off, just enough room to work.
Next Remove Door Handle, this makes routing the wires much easier. 2 10MM Nuts hold one side, and 1 10MM bolt hold the other. Remove dust cover to get to the bolt.
Remove 1 Torx Screw to ease removal of the door panel.
Next pull the panel off. It adheres a little on the gasket material, feels like double sided tape but it comes off rather easy.
Inside the door panel you will see the factory wire routed with a plug. Remove the ENTIRE plug from the harness. Use the needle nose pliers to pull it off the door to make this easier.
Remove the bottom plastic bolt retainer. This is the bottom bolt that holds the panel to the door. This makes room for you to run the wires and plug from the keypad.
Insert the keypad into the new panel, or cut a hole in your current panel. In the original link someone traced and cut a hole. Saving $40. I wanted mine to be as straight as possible and decided factory panel would be better than what I could do.
Route the plug and wires through the bottom square in the door. It will be the only square that will allow the plug to fit. In the below photo you will see the retainer clip that will hold the wire harness from moving. Run the plug down more towards the out side of the door.
The factory harness on the keypad has a plug that will help hold it in place. Connect the plug to the factory harness and push in the retaining pin on the keypad harness.
Reassemble the door handle, weather stripping, and door panel.
Using FORSCAN you will need to program the BCM to enable the keypad function.

AND YOU ARE DONE!!! Unless you don't have the keypad codes in the owners manual pouch.
There are three methods to obtain the factory code.
3RD Method is heading to your dealer to obtain the code.
1)
If you have two keys already programmed you can use the procedure below to grab it, otherwise you'll have to have the dealership (or someone with IDS) pull the factory code:
Displaying the Factory Set Code
To display the factory set code in the information display:
1. Insert a key into the ignition and turn the ignition on for a few
seconds.
2. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
3. Insert the second key into the ignition and turn the ignition on.
The factory set code will display for a few seconds.
Note: The code may not display until after any other warning messages
first display.
If you don't have 2 keys, or want to just be able to read your code(GIVEN THAT THE CODE IS ON THE BACK OF THE FUSE BOX SOME TRUCKS DO NOT HAVE THE CODE HERE)
Go to the fuse box inside the cab under the passenger kick panel. You will need to remove the fuse panel.
Then remove the door sill plate.
Next remove the panel covering the entire fuse box. Pull back some of the weather stripping to make removing this a bit easier.
Then grab your keypad code from the sticker on the back of the fuse box.
BTW, here's the value in APIM that will enable the door keypad menu under Settings, Vehicle on your Sync screen if you don't have it now: 7D0-01-02 xxxB xxxx xxxx
and the one you did above
Using FORSCAN you will need to program the BCM to enable the keypad function.

Thanks,
Don
BTW: I also traced the hole in the molding and scanned it. Attached is the PDF in 8.5x11 paper for those who might want to cut the hole themself

Reason: adding more
I completed the installation earlier tonight, but I couldn't figure out where the gray retainer goes? Any advice? As you can see, I tucked the wire in the keeper that is molded into the window guide. I also installed the white retainer near the harness plug. I just couldn't see where to install the gray retainer. Also, for anyone considering this job. Be careful when you remove the door handle. There is a lot of sharp edges that will scratch your door. I was really careful and avoided scratches until I took the picture. I just barely kissed the lock rod against the door, and it went down to bare metal. It's a fine scratch that's barely noticeable, but it made me sick. Thanks for taking the time to put this tutorial together.
I currently own 4 Ford vehicles with keypads. I've never used them once, have no idea what the code is and cannot imagine when I would need to use it. I know this has been a Ford feature forever, but I just don't get it.
