Did you use the factory keypad that goes in the B-pillar trim? If so you are lucky you got one, they have been on backorder for a bit now.

Did it just plug right into the existing harness in the door?

yes the ford factory one from the dealer, it was 40 bucks here in san antonio and the plug was in the door. I opted to trim the flat black piller trim imstead of finding the pre holed one...

This is good to know, thank you. I ordered the keypad for myself, but like I said they have been on back order. I'm glad to hear that it will work out the way I was hoping, instead of having to experiment.

Now buy some LED headlights and let us now if they swap over easily for us halogen guys LOL

Are you talking about LED bulbs? I was referring to the LED housings that come on the higher trim model trucks, but I was joking with you anyways. One of these days someone will experiment with it and we will all have the answers.

While searching Ford parts website I found one that appears to stick on the door with double sided tape. Anyone gone this route?

This style is an option, they work well enough. There's a couple reasons I personally don't like them:
  • They stick to your paint with double sided tape.
  • They are battery operated and not hard wired, can fail at the wrong time
They are essentially a key fob that sticks to the outside of your door. They even have to be programmed using the key fob procedure.

Hey I was able to get the key pad and install with no issues but when I took it to a shop that had Forscan their cable wasn’t compatible with the 2021 apparently 2021 and up needs a VS3 coder. You let me know what connection you used? And what version of program(forscan) u used?
also not all for Ford dealers will even touch the bcm changes.
