Default Coyote part-throttle steady-state stumble - FIXED

My 2016 F150 SuperCrew XLT 2WD Coyote 5.0 has recently developed a part-throttle, steady-state (not during acceleration), stumble... it runs rough at part throttle when in mild cruise rpm (+/- 1200 - 2000+ revs). Otherwise, during part-throttle acceleration and under full-throttle load this motor sings. The stumble is mild, but most noticeable again, at a steady rpm, in 3rd (of 6th) at around 30 mph. It happens elsewhere, but again it is most pronounced there.

There are so many different things going on in this engine. Cams being phased (cam timing), intake manifold runner controls, EGR, etc... I just don't know where to begin looking to correct the issue. I'd rather the dealer be a last resort.

Anyone familiar with this glitch? Would a mild performance tune perhaps set things straight? I've Bing/Googled using the thread title but with no pertinent results. Anyone know of a good Coyote Mustang forum?

Thanks.

Losing a coil possibly? This would be more of an issue I would have to feel for myself. My suggestion if you have access to a scan tool that shows misfire data would be to monitor the cylinders for a misfire during the stumble condition. If one cylinder is showing a miss I would swap the coil to a different cylinder and see if the misfire follows.

FIXED. - Not fixed. See Post #7

DTC P0456 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (very small leak) <--- hey, that's what the code reader said.

A good Ford tech I was introduced to suggested replacement of the Purge Control Valve - AU5Z 9C915-B - for my '16 F150 5.0 XLT

Took me longer to find my 1/4" drive 8 mm socket and extension than it did to swap the valve.

That's great!...I hate throwing parts at an issue too. I had a bad misfire in my old '01 Z06 Corvette. First it was throwing multiple mis-filres codes, which can be about anything. Found a bad plug wire change all of them. Ran a little better still multiple mis-fire codes. I don't drive it much and a few folks online said change the fuel filter/regulator. It was only $24 so I did. That got it down to a #8 mis-fire. Moved the spark plug from #8 to #2. The code moved to #2. AH HA...Changed all the plugs took it out on a friends private farm road that got that was cut off when they built a new highway and beat it a little. I could have just put in plugs but it's nice to know the diagnostic tools do work.

She runs strong as hell. Total cost of the repair was $65, It pays to fix it yourself.

Yeah...I saw your other thread...I was going to post in it...Belongs here for what I was going to say...Nothing a pair of long tube headers would not have fixed either....lol.

Oh yeah...way off the topic of this thread...Some guys a work compared my Corvette video posted above to the Whipple truck video. The truck kicks the Z06's ***.

Dagnabbit!

What'dya have to go and post THAT for?!
