Default Whipple guys...think this would make any difference?

So I’m standing outside killing myself with a smoke...and staring through my front bumper opening and noticed how much of the aluminum coolant reservoir is exposed to airflow. Got me to wondering about cooling fins like some oil pans and other things have. I have a full fab shop at work...y’all think it would make any difference to weld maybe 1” tall fins across the front and bottom of the tank? Space them 1/2” apart maybe? Sure seems like a lot of airflow that could be put to work across a big *** heat sink....or am I wrong?
Same theory as the bottom pic.

I'm not sure I think there is too much volume inside the tank to make a difference. Although I have my air dam totally removed including the lip ground off. You can see why I had it power coated because how much of it shows. I'll have to get the truck hot and take a tank reading with my laser thermometer.

Or perhaps go the other direction and cover it with foam to help prevent heat soak.

I was just thinking out loud. It’s one of those things that wouldn’t cost me anything but time if it was worth investigating.

Oh..I do that all the time too...The a couple folks on here mentioned the KillerChiller obviously more complicated and costly. .... It sounds like a good way to go.

You folks in Texas have to deal with heat a lot more then us northerner. Today it's 90 here, which is high for us. For you that's a nice spring day.

I still have to mount mine. I have everything to install the 2 fans. I just haven't done it yet.

Will do. I already have it all mapped out. I have a fuse box connector like the Whipple kit and will be connecting it to fuse 36. There is a push pin loop on the front of the battery box that I will use to hang the 30/40 amp relay off of. I have a 30 amp inline fuse to go between Pin 30 of the relay and the battery. The 10" fans pull 12.6 amps each for a total of 25.2 amps when I wire them together. I will remove all of the grille louvers an hope I have enough room at the bottom where the center grille (louver) support gets real close to the Exchanger. I hope where the circle shape of the fans separate is high enough on the bottom side to make room for the grille support.

Here is a wiring diagram for a fan setup. I will have to turn the blades around to make it a pusher.
