Default Fordpass 5 Beta testing

What the heck, they offered, I took the bait.

like everything, we dislike change. Can’t say this is better. It seems simpler, without the Lightning features.

I agree.. tried it out... reverted back to the older version.
Missing nearly all of the features. All I could see were Software Updates, no Pro Power, Zone Lighting, WiFi, etc.

I tried it and I really did not like it. I told them that I thought they should stay with the current version.

The beta is terrible. I sent them some feedback on it and reverted back.

I got the invitation yesterday and gave it a try. Really the one thing that I totally objected to was the vehicle location portion; since the vehicle location uses Google maps, I had to give Google access to my Location Services on my iPhone. No way that is going to happen. I switched back to the old version as soon as I saw that. I do not trust Google and I'll abandon the FordPass app completely when Ford forces us to switch over.

You think the alphabet companies don't already have access to your phone's location? ROTFLMFAO!

Do they still not show whether the vehicle is presently locked or not? That's like the only thing the current version needs.

You may want to abandon your whole phone then as google and many other companies collect data continuously from a lot of other methods rather than just Ford Pass.

Can't remember what I was doing, fumbling around in a google site. Found my daily tracking. Where I had gone, route, speed, time. I have nothing to hide and could care less if anyone knows where I am at. So I thought it was cool.
