Let's not get carried away....looks more like 20 rwhp peak-peak difference, maybe 35 at the rev limiter, and a transmission the keeps it closer to peak.

Your not big on intelligent / critical discussion are you?

The 2015 dyno numbers, and your interpretation of them are both messed up.

Obviously the 18 puts down more power. One from the bump in hp Ford gave and two from the more efficient trans. That doesn’t erase the fact that those numbers come from completely different dynos on completely different days. It’s just not a valid comparison.
Does the new truck put down more power? Yes.
Does it put down over 60 more hp? No.
I have a new 5.0 so you are full of it. No wait, I have old 5.0 so I agree with you. No wait...
Sarcasm off
It's sad that you would even feel the need to post that info in a performance section of this forum. Ego overriding science, common sense, and irrefutable fact is fairly common in internet land, but this place takes the cake. Seriously, It's not this bad on ricer forums.

Irrefutable fact is that 2 different dynos skews the results...period.
I couldn’t care less what your thoughts are on the matter...that’s another fact. lol

Read what I wrote again. I am in agreement with your statement, but it's so elementary that it shouldn't need saying in the performance area of any forum. You feeling that you need to say it shows how ignorant you feel others here are, and based on some of the comments it's understandable, and sad.

EDIT: I haven't been around this forum long, but obvious from the start is that people here interpret a post as if the poster is a dumbass first, and only as coming from a base of knowledge if that is the only interpretation possible. As with the other things I mentioned it's a sad state, but well earned.

Happy new Year Guys! Lets start over here and just realize we are all human and have just a little love for our fellow forum enthusiast, which we all obviously are. We all love trucks that come in all different sizes and shapes, kinda like us, lol ! I would love to have a new truck with the power train improvements, but I'm enjoying my paid off one too much for now. Did I mention I love trucks?

Under the curve vs peak to peak. The differences are significant all things considered. The new 5.0 looks like the old one shifted over 500 rpm plus gains from displacement so it's shifted up 10 percent and some more significant than 10 peefent gains in peak VE areas probably from compression and DI.

Meh, I'm seeing more like 6% improvement at best, starting around 4000 rpm. Again, their dyno of the 15-17 is pitiful compared to a ton of others, so I don't believe it to be a good representation.
