Here a screen capture of their Dyno run. Pretty impressive especially when you consider its connected to a 10 speed. All that power where it counts.

My guess is that there is something wrong with the 2015 lifted 150 they tested. It completely ran out of power at 4000 rpm. Everyone knows thats thats where the 5.0 just starts making its power

Yes, that's the most pitiful 2015-17 5.0 dyno pulls I've ever seen.

Despite what you guys are saying this is pretty spot on when comparing the 18 mustang gt to the 15-17 mustang gt. At 6 grand vs 6 grand the 18 is up by 70+ whp vs the outgoing coyote. When both are at peak power, though, the new one is only up by like 30'ish whp.

There's a video on YT of a new Mustang making 490ish crank horsepower stock. The new 'Yote is definitely under-rated.

Makes me think of the old days when Cobras and Mach 1s were purposefully under-rated. It made GM guys scratch their heads for a while.

While the HP curve on the chart seems odd after 5k, the #'s arent that far off. 5 Star's stock 15-17 5.0 truck dyno'd at 285hp/290tq to the wheels. Their 18 did 345hp/355tq, different dynos get different #'s, and sometimes its hard to tell if the truck is being ran in 1:1 gear for most accurate #'s. But it seems on par (minus the weird drop in the HP curve) the overall #'s look close.

5 star dynod the 2015-17 on their old dyno that notoriously reads low. They switched to a dynojet for their 2018 numbers. There are a ton of dyno results out there putting the 2015-17 at 320-330 rwhp and about 335 ftlb.

dynojet i presume. dynojets just aren't good to compare anything but before and after (and even then they're **** because they don't load the car properly and resulting in the ability to advance ignition timing further than it can safely run on the street.

I respectfully disagree, but that's a subject for another day....
