Default wow....fml

ok so the other day i was being a dumba** in a rush to get somewhere and i backed into a GMC sierra going like 1 mph maybe 2... so the only visible damage was a quarter sized dent (which i dont even beilve i did because of the setup) and the guy gets a quote and the shop is saying the whole bumper is bent and need to be replaced! A total of 1000 dollars!! wtf! are gmcs just pieces of sh*ts or am i being played!?!?! oh well who needs to go to collage or buy people christmas gifts any ways..

chevy parts are extremely expensive, bumpers especially. throw some labor on top of that and $1000 isnt out of the question for a lame peice of chromed steel

youre right, it is ridiculous! just keep in mind that most body shops get a large discount on parts from ford/ gm ect and then are sold to the customer at full retail, which is almost always more than what you will find them for online unless you are getting the parts directly from the OEM online. also, not all dealerships charge the same amount for parts, some are more expensive than others, it depends on the amount of volume of parts they sell.

i think im going to try and fight it though...cause i have a little bit of plastic smashed at the top of my bumper, no metal damage at all, and his dent is like on the bottom corner of his, and his truck was not higher than mine.
