Default smell

I have a 2000 f150 with a v8 4.6 when I turned on my ac there is a smell like antifreeze coming out. It pretty bad to wear I can't use it. Checked coolant and level is fine. And truck is not over heating. Any ideas.

Same thing is happening to my 01. Vapors blew out while using a/c as well. Keep an eye on the fluid, if you don't use any vent controls, fluid should be fine. Heater core is not expensive from what I heard, it's the labor that cost so much. It is very involved from the videos I have watched on youtube. Having a mechanic friend come by the house on a Sunday to help pull the dash. Understand the job is booked for 10 hrs labor. Hoping he lets me off easy. Have a son that needs a vechile! Time for me to invest in something newer. Good Luck.
