75w-140 with friction modifier is recommended for older F150 limited slip differential. I guess that’s what you have.

Correct. It's an '04 XLT.

Can’t recall the price (maybe around 50$), but one use only (according to Ford).

The advantages for me with this gasket are:

- no need to wait prior to add oil
- no old RTV sealant to scrape off

However, removing rust from diff and cover flange is still required to do.

If you buy the correct permatex ... theres no need to wait.. and I'll clean the old gasket material off while cleaning the rest of the pumpkin out.. no big deal. beats $50 for a gasket each time.

If you were to wipe a coating of grease or assembly lube on that gasket (so it doesn't stick and tear) I don't see why it wouldn't be reusable, but $50 is a hard pill to swallow. I think I'd rather buy the Permatex and take the wife out on a cheap date.
